Twitter me this, Twitter me that. Doesn’t it seem like Twitter is everywhere now? It’s no illusion, it really is. Over the past year Twitter.com’s traffic has grown 1,043% to nearly 20 million visitors last month. That’s a two followed by 7 zeros. 20 million! That’s the distance between your back door and Venus (the 2nd-closest planet to the sun). That’s 200 times as many people than fit in The Shoe every Autumn Saturday afternoon. So the question is, are you one of those 20,000,000? Have you jumped on the bandwagon yet?

Ladies & Gents... The Cast of "The Hills"

The Hills (a spinoff of Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County) is an MTV reality drama that documents the life of Lauren Conrad and several of her affluent friends in Los Angeles, California after leaving home in Laguna Beach, California. The show's theme song is "Unwritten" by Natasha Bedingfield. The show premiered on Monday, May 31, 2006. Here is the cast:

	Lauren Conrad - Lauren spends her days in LA interning at Teen Vogue and attending FIDM. She lives in an apartment with Heidi Montag, and the two spend their nights as socialites. After Heidi moves out, close friend Audrina Patridge takes her place as Lauren's roommate.
	Heidi Montag - Heidi works for an event-planning firm Bolthouse Productions, after confessing that school wasn't for her. She shared an apartment with Lauren, but eventually moved out to live with her boyfriend, Spencer Pratt, who later proposed to her.
	Audrina Patridge - Audrina first appeared as good friend and neighbor to Lauren and Heidi with an aspiration to become an actress. Between auditions, Audrina has had steady jobs, first working as a receptionist at Quixote Studios and then at Epic Records. She originally lived alone, but later moved in with Lauren after Heidi moved out.
	Whitney Port - Whitney began as Lauren's fellow intern at Teen Vogue. Much of her camera time takes place either in the Teen Vogue office or at high profile events for the magazine. Whitney is older than Lauren and often lends an ear about growing up and dating. During the second season, she interviewed with Teen Vogue executives in New York, and was hired as the head of all the interns for the LA offices.

Wake up the Stars

Greetings Listers!

We are smack in the middle of the dog days of summer. And no, that doesn’t have anything to do with Michael Vick or Joey Chestnut. Instead, it refers to the hottest days of the year, usually starting in July and ending in early September. It is called “dog days” because the ancient Romans thought the heat came from the brightest star in the sky, Sirius (a.k.a. the “dog star”) that rises and sets with the sun during these months. As it turns out, its not hotter due to super radiation from this brilliant star, the heat is actually a result of the earth’s tilt. Anyway, if you’re interested in stargazing and peeping at Sirius, make sure you have a dark place away from the blinding city lights. Traveling to find that perfect place? Might as well pick one with a great prequel. Then if you’re tired from watching meteor showers all night, consider trying some different morning jolt besides that old-fashioned cup of joe. You’re going to need some energy during these final stifling “dog days.” But don’t blink - summer will be over before you know it.
